Sun Life reported an understated unit value for the UBC FPP Balanced and Foreign Equity funds on December 30, 2022. This caused the Rate of Return (ROR) for both of these funds to be understated in your December 31, 2022 statement. If you were invested in these funds, your Personal Rate of Return (PROR) should have been higher. Your PROR is shown on your member statement and in your online member account. Sun Life has identified how this reporting issue occurred, and they are taking steps to ensure this doesn’t happen again. Sun Life corrected the error on January 27, 2023, with Morningstar® and updated the RORs for those funds. You can see them online by signing in to mysunlife.ca/ubcfpp. Under Investments, select Manage plan > my plan > Check on account > View investment performance. You’ll also see updated RORs for the two funds on your March 31, 2023 member statement.
