How to change your investments online

Managing your account online

Below are some of the key things that you can do when you log into your account at mysunlife.ca/ubcfpp. Once you are logged in, under the Investments, select Manage Plan > my plan and then follow the navigation below.

Select and/or change your investments Investment changes can be made online by signing in to your FPP account at mysunlife.ca/ubcfpp.  Under Investments, select Manage plan > my plan > Make a change > Change investments and follow the prompts.  Alternatively, investment changes can be made over the telephone through the Sun Life Client Care Centre at 1-844-822-3131, and select:

  • Option 2 for UBC Faculty Pension Plan Accounts, or
  • Option 3 for RRIF/LIF-Type Payment Accounts.

Please note the following when making changes to your investments:

Interfund transfers: Short-term trading fee
A 2% fee may be charged when you initiate an interfund transfer into a fund followed by an interfund transfer out of the same fund within 30 days. This is known as short-term trading. Other than the short-term trading fees, there are no fees for buying, selling or switching funds. This fee does not apply to guaranteed investments or the UBC FPP Short Term Investment Fund. View transactions Check on account > View transaction history

View transaction information for your account such as contributions, transfer-ins, and withdrawals

Access tools and calculators Tools > select an option from the drop down

Access tools and calculators, including the Asset Allocation and Retirement Estimator Tools

View statements
/ opt out of paper statements
To view your statement:  Select Documents > Statements

To change your communication preference:  Select Profile > Preferences

View fee information Plan overview  > Account fees
Access Contribution Estimator (for Active members only) Put money in > Contribute
Update your email address Deferred and RRIF/LIF-Type Payment members can update their email address by selecting Profile and clicking on the link by the email address field

Active members can update their email address through Workday

Variable Payment Life Annuity members can manage their account through the Sun Life Client Care Centre

Update your mailing address RRIF/LIF-Type Payment members can update their mailing address by selecting Profile > Personal Info > Personal Information, or through the Sun Life Client Care Centre at 1-844-822-3131 > select Option 3

Active members can update their address through Workday

Deferred members can update their address through the Sun Life Client Care Centre at 1-844-822-3131 > select Option 2

Variable Payment Life Annuity members can manage their account through the Sun Life Client Care Centre
