Reminder to Update Your Email Address

The quarterly information sheet and other communications you receive from the UBC Pension Administration Office are going online. By updating your email address, you will continue to receive important communications and latest news about the UBC Faculty Pension Plan. Effective June 2016, paper communications will be discontinued.

How to Update Your Email Address

Active Member
(You currently make contributions to the Plan.)
Sign in to the UBC Faculty/Staff Self-Serve Portal at msp.ubc.ca.
Deferred Member
(You no longer make contributions, have money invested in the Plan, and are not receiving payment from any of the Plan’s retirement options.)
Sign in to mysunlife.ca/ubcfpp and then select Profile, or phone the Sun Life Financial Customer Care Centre at 1-844-822-3131, select Option 2.
Retired Member
(You are receiving payment from one or more of the Plan’s retirement options.)
If you have both a RRIF/LIF-Type Payment account and a Variable Payment Life Annuity (VPLA) account, you will need to update your contact information for both accounts separately, as shown below:

RRIF/LIF-Type Payments:
Sign in to mysunlife.ca/ubcfpp and then select Profile, or phone the Sun Life Financial Customer Care Centre at 1-844-822-3131, select Option 3.

VPLA Payments:
Phone the Sun Life Financial Customer Care Centre at 1-844-822-3131, select Option 4.

Important Note: If you update your email address at mysunlife.ca/ubcfpp, you will receive an email from Sun Life Financial at your new email address. You must confirm your email address by clicking the authentication link in the email to complete the change.
