UBC Faculty Pension Plan Election: Call for Nominations

September 5, 2019

An election process will be held for two Board members, to be elected by and from the membership of the UBC Faculty Pension Plan (FPP), to serve on the Board of Trustees for a four-year period from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2023. Dr. Robert L. Heinkel’s and Mr. Vijay Verma’s terms will end on December 31, 2019. UBC Elections has been tasked with the duty of holding the election on behalf of the Plan.

A Call for Nominations form was mailed to members in early September and the nomination process will close on October 3, 2019. If you wish to nominate someone or be nominated for the UBC FPP election, please complete the requirements as outlined on the nomination form. Completed forms and candidate statements must be received by UBC Elections by 4:00 p.m. on October 3, 2019.

If you are interested in becoming a candidate for the 2019 FPP Board of Trustees Election and would like more information on the process, please contact Orla Cousineau, Executive Director, Pensions at orla.cousineau@ubc.ca.

Should an election be necessary, election packages will be mailed on October 24, 2019 and voting will close at 4:00 p.m. on November 18, 2019.
