Please keep us informed of any changes to your personal information to ensure that our records are up to date.


Changing Your Address, Telephone or Email Address

Active Members

If you are currently working at UBC, you can update your address by using the UBC Faculty and Staff Self-Service Portal. If you are not familiar with using the online Self Service, you can send a completed Personal Data Form to Financial Services.

All address changes made through Self Service or Finance/Payroll are automatically transferred to Sun Life Financial at the end of the following calendar month after MSP is updated.

Deferred Members

If you are a deferred member, you can contact the Sun Life Financial Customer Care Centre at 1-844-822-3131 (1-844-UBC-3131), and select option 2 or complete a Change of Records Form.

Retired Members

If you are a retired member receiving RRIF-Type and/or LIF-Type payments, sign into mysunlife.ca/ubcfpp and select Profile > Personal Info > Personal Information. Alternatively, you can contact the Sun Life Financial Customer Care Centre at 1-844-822-3131 (1-844-UBC-3131), and select option 3 or complete a Sun Life Change of Records Form.

If you are a retired member receiving VPLA payments, contact the Sun Life Financial Customer Care Centre at 1-844-822-3131 (1-844-UBC-3131), and select option 4 or complete a Sun Life Change of Records Form.


Name Change, Change in Marital Status, or Beneficiary Designation Change

Members may use the Sun Life Change of Records Form to make the following changes:

  • Name change – for Deferred and Retired members only; Active members may make a name change through the Employee Self Service website
  • Change in marital / relationship status
  • Beneficiary designation change

Changing Your Bank Information

To change your bank account information, complete the Sun Life Direct Deposit Enrolment Form or Sun Life Request for Benefit Payment by Wire Form.
